We are Nicole and Tom, a family from the Netherlands with two wonderful daughters, Ivy and Maci.
Spending time together is what we enjoy most. Whether it is a small adventure close to home or a trip to the other side of the world, we are happiest when we are together. Exploring new places, playing games, being outdoors, and learning new things as a family.
The idea for this journey started when Tom was offered a sabbatical at work.
“I would love to spend some time living abroad.”
“Great, go ahead and make it happen!”
Nicole’s answer came much faster than expected.
What started as an idea to live in another country slowly evolved. First, we considered buying a camper and travelling across Europe. Then the idea grew even bigger.
How amazing would it be to show our children countries, cultures, and ways of life that are completely different from what we know?
That question became the start of something much bigger.
Many conversations later, sitting on a rooftop terrace in Spain, our plans began to take shape and slowly turned into an actual route around the world.
